How to Identify Official Relai Communications and Protect Yourself from Scams

Scammers sometimes impersonate Relai to try to trick users into sharing personal information or sending bitcoin. This article explains how Relai contacts users, what we will never ask you to do, and how to verify that a message is genuinely from us.

How Relai contacts users

Relai may reach out to you by email for the following reasons:

  • To confirm your registration or verification status

  • To notify you about your account or transactions

  • To share product updates or announcements

All official emails from Relai come exclusively from addresses ending in @relai.app. If you receive an email from any other domain, it is not from us.

What Relai will never do

To keep you safe, it's important to know that Relai will never:

  • Contact you by phone or SMS

  • Ask you to make a deposit or payment outside of the official Relai app

  • Request your 12-word recovery phrase, password, or any sensitive personal information

  • Contact you via Telegram, WhatsApp, or any other messaging platform

How to verify an email is from Relai

Before clicking any link or responding to a message claiming to be from Relai, check the following:

  1. Check the sender's email address — it must end in @relai.app

  2. Do not click suspicious links — go directly to relai.app or the Relai app instead

  3. When in doubt, contact us — reach out to [email protected] to verify

What to do if you receive a suspicious message

If you receive a message that looks like it's from Relai but seems suspicious:

  • Do not click any links

  • Do not share any personal or financial information

  • Mark the message as spam

  • Contact us at [email protected] and let us know

If you have already responded to a suspicious message or shared sensitive information, please contact us immediately — we're here to help.

Important reminder about Bitcoin transactions

Once reported, please send us a copy of the police report at [email protected].
