What cannot be changed
Payment method, frequency and currency cannot be edited. To change one of these, you need to create a new Savings Plan.
If your Savings Plan has an order in progress
If your plan has an open order that is still waiting to be completed when you save your edit (for example, a bank transfer that hasn't arrived yet, or an order on hold because you've reached your trading limit), you'll be asked to confirm that this open order is cancelled and a new one is created with the updated amount and date. Your Savings Plan itself stays active.
Orders that have already been executed or are being paid out to your wallet are not affected by the edit.
Paying by bank transfer? Update your standing order
If you pay your Savings Plan by bank transfer, you'll see a banner on your plan after every edit reminding you to update the recurring transfer (standing order) in your banking app. Tap the banner to see the updated payment details. The banner stays visible until the first purchase with the new settings is completed.
Confirmation and history
After every edit, you receive a confirmation email showing your Savings Plan's current amount and next buy date. The field you changed is marked (updated), with the old and new values side by side.
Every edit is also saved in your Savings Plan's History tab, so you can always check what changed and when.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to cancel my Savings Plan to change the amount?
No. Open Plan details → Edit savings plan and change the amount. Your Savings Plan keeps running with the new amount.
How do I change the day my Savings Plan buys Bitcoin?
Open Plan details → Edit savings plan and set a new next buy date. The earliest date is tomorrow and the latest is 3 months from today. Your plan then continues at its usual frequency from that date.
I used to swipe my plan card to edit or cancel it. Why doesn't that work?
Editing and cancelling are done from the plan details. Tap the Savings Plan card to open the details, then tap Edit savings plan. Swiping the card has no effect.
Will editing my Savings Plan change the fees I pay?
Fees are applied to each individual order when it is executed, not to the Savings Plan itself. Editing the amount or next buy date does not change how fees are calculated.
Why was my open order cancelled after I edited my Savings Plan?
When you edit a plan that has an open, not yet completed order, that order is cancelled and replaced by a new one with the updated settings. You confirm this in the edit flow. Your Savings Plan remains active.
Can I cancel just one upcoming order instead of editing the Savings Plan?
Yes. You can cancel a single open order from your Savings Plan's History without affecting the plan. Your Savings Plan continues on its normal schedule.
Can I change the payment method, frequency or currency of my Savings Plan?
No. Only the amount and the next buy date can be edited. For a different payment method, frequency or currency, create a new Savings Plan.
