Relai’s Secure Login protects your account using:
Your device.
A quick identity check (face scan).
A liveness check to confirm it’s really you and not a recording or deepfake.
This method is based on modern multi-factor authentication (MFA) principles — but without passwords, SMS codes, or extra authenticator apps.
It’s fast, secure, and privacy-first by design.
How does it work?
When you log in to the Relai app:
You scan your face (or use your 6-digit PIN)
All verification happens locally on your device
No data (like face scans) is ever transmitted to or stored on any server — not Relai’s and not anyone else’s
Relai uses secure login technology provided by our trusted security partner, Keyless.
Keyless relies on advanced cryptographic techniques such as:
Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP)
and Secure Multi-Party Computation (sMPC)
These technologies allow your identity to be verified without exposing or transmitting any personal data.
Your biometric info is never centrally stored — not even in encrypted form. Relai guarantees that all retained data remains securely encrypted, following modern privacy standards. Relai complies with GDPR regulations, ensuring your biometric data is handled securely. Personal data is minimized and retained only as required by legal obligations, and you can request its deletion via the process outlined in Relai's Privacy Policy.
What if I lose my phone?
No worries, here’s how to regain access:
Install the Relai app on your new device.
Tap “Login” on the welcome screen.
Confirm your Relai account email address.
Go through the Secure Login setup again (face scan + PIN)
Enter your 12-word recovery phrase to restore your wallet
💡 Important: Without your 12-word recovery phrase, you cannot restore your wallet! Please store it securely offline, ideally on acid-resistant paper or a metal plate.For troubleshooting face verification, ensure good lighting and check your device camera is functioning properly.
