How to Add or Remove Payment Methods in the Relai App
You cannot edit an existing payment method in the Relai app, but you can add a new one or remove an existing one.
Managing payment methods in Relai also extends to ensuring the consistency of your IBAN when setting up features like Auto-Invest plans. If you switch your bank account or IBAN, you must create new buy orders to prevent processing issues.
Adding a Payment Method
Open the Relai App.
Go to Profile.
Select Settings.
Click on Payment Methods.
Here, you can add IBANs and credit cards. Only use accounts registered in your name. Joint accounts are unfortunately not supported.
Additionally, the IBAN linked to your account must remain consistent for transactions like Auto-Invest plans or one-time buy orders. Transfers from non-associated IBANs will automatically be refunded for security reasons, ensuring that transactions are legitimate and accurate.
Relai uses a Swiss IBAN for transfers as it ensures seamless integration between traditional banking and cryptocurrency funding. Additionally, it is crucial for compliance that the name on the IBAN matches the verified Relai user to prevent unauthorized access and fraudulent activities.
📌 Apple Pay and Google Pay cannot be directly added as saved payment methods. However, you can select them when purchasing bitcoin under → ( + ) → Buy.
Removing a Payment Method
To delete a payment method, simply swipe left over the one you wish to remove.
Verifying IBAN Details
Always verify that an IBAN belongs to Relai by checking official app information or contacting customer support. Refrain from transferring funds to unverified IBANs to safeguard against unauthorized transactions.
⚠️ Changing Your IBAN or Bank Account for Bank Transfers
If you change your bank account or IBAN, you must also create new buy orders under → ( + ) → Buy after adding your new IBAN as a payment method.
This ensures that your new payment details are linked correctly and that future transfers are processed without issues.
