Bank Transfer
You can buy bitcoin by sending a bank transfer from your personal bank account using your IBAN. Bank transfers are free of charge — no additional fee is applied on top of the standard Relai fee.
⚠️ The IBAN must be registered in your name. Joint accounts are not supported.
Instant Payment Options
For faster purchases available 24/7, Relai supports the following instant methods:
VISA & Mastercard (credit or debit)
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Instant payments are processed immediately — your bitcoin order is confirmed right away without waiting for a bank transfer to arrive.
💳 An additional fee of 3.0% per transaction applies to credit/debit card payments to cover payment provider costs.
Adding a Payment Method
You can save your IBAN or credit card in the app:
Go to Profile → Settings → Payment Methods
Tap Add and enter your details
ℹ️ Apple Pay and Google Pay cannot be saved as a payment method, but you can select them at checkout when placing a buy order under → (+) → Buy.
Not Supported
The following payment methods are not accepted:
PayPal
American Express cards
Joint bank accounts
Transfers from IBANs not registered in your name
Any transfer from an unrecognised IBAN will automatically be refunded.
Changing Your Bank Account or IBAN
If you switch bank accounts, make sure to:
Add your new IBAN under Profile → Settings → Payment Methods
Create a new buy order to link the updated details
Existing orders linked to your old IBAN will not automatically update.
