Relai offers a straightforward fee structure, including service fees, a dynamic spread that mirrors real-time Bitcoin market fluctuations, and transparency about additional costs that may arise from external sources like banks or payment methods.

By adding an invite code, you can reduce their fees from the initial 1 % to the final fee of 0.9 % for orders up to 100,000 CHF/€ per transaction.
Credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments incur an additional fee of 3.0% per transaction.
Bank Transfer Fees
Relai does not charge fees for bank transfers if you send funds in the specified currency for your order. However, you may incur fees imposed by your bank. For instance:
SEPA Transfers: To avoid extra charges, always use a SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) transfer when sending euros (EUR) from a euro account. This ensures that your bank assesses only the minimum processing fee or none at all. Avoid international transfers, as they often carry higher charges.
Fee-Free Transfers: If your current bank imposes fees for SEPA or outgoing transfers, consider switching to a provider that offers fee-free or lower-cost SEPA transfers, such as a low-cost or digital/neobank.
Please note
For sending or receiving bitcoin, we don’t charge an additional fee, but normal Bitcoin network fees will apply. Learn more about the Bitcoin network fee.
We cover network fees when you buy bitcoin. However, depending on network congestion, the payment may be delayed until normal market conditions resume.
When selling bitcoin, you as a user need to cover network fees, given the non-custodial nature of the Relai wallet. These fees are challenging to calculate precisely due to multiple factors, so providing a fixed percentage or estimate is impossible. However, you will see the fee before confirming the order, but it varies based on transaction amounts and network congestion.
When purchasing Bitcoin, the amount delivered may sometimes be slightly lower than the purchase amount. This is due to Bitcoin network fees, which are necessary for processing transactions and are directly paid to the blockchain. Relai does not retain these fees.
On-chain Bitcoin transactions require network fees for security and confirmation, and these fees change based on blockchain network activity. Dynamic spreads of up to 1% may also impact sale prices but ensure transparency throughout the process.
